When is the best time to post on Facebook
If you schedule your post for a good time, you have a better chance of it being seen by more fans. The following lines summarise how to identify this moment and what all influences it.
The day when you sat down to Facebook and with a few scrolls of the mouse wheel you got to the place where you left off yesterday, so you didn't miss anything, is over. There's tons of Facebook content today, and you only see the content that's selected based on various algorithms.
Of course, if you're the one creating the content, your main concern is that as many people as possible see your post. And to do that, it's good to know when to put posts out. There are a number of factors that influence just how many fans see your post. We've covered the three most basic ones in the following article.
1. Time
One of the algorithms that Facebook uses when displaying posts is their "freshness". If you post something at a time when your fan is just logging in, there's a good chance they'll be among the first to see your post.
So it's a good idea to schedule your posts for when most fans are online. You can find this out easily on your page in the Reviews tab under Posts. If you find that most fans are active in the evening, there is no point in scheduling posts for the morning. Keep an eye on the differences between weekdays and weekends.
2. Seasons
The time of year also has an impact on Facebook fan activity. In winter it is dark early, so people sit down at their computers (or lie down on their mobiles) earlier, while in summer it is later.
While a large number of your fans may be on holiday during the summer holidays, this doesn't necessarily mean they won't be visiting your site. Think of all the times you've "checked in" on Facebook from the beach.
3. Weather
Even the current state of the weather affects whether your fans will be online or not. If it's a sunny weekend coming up, your post won't get much interaction, but if it's cloudy or rainy, you may find yourself posting more vigorously.
