The homepage is one big mess

Many e-shop owners make the mistake of trying to get as much information as possible on their homepage at all costs. Not only does the page that the visitor sees right at the very beginning look disorganized, but the overall cluttered look can ruin any first impression. Besides the fact that an unsightly homepage will not impress, it will also most likely take a pretty long time to load. Remember the rule that less is sometimes more. Only the most important information really belongs on the homepage. Don't waste your chance - this is the page that will make the difference between a customer staying and browsing your products or looking elsewhere.

Insufficient product and category descriptions

Make it a daily mantra that product descriptions must not be slack in any way. The ideal situation is one where you are creative and original and the customer learns about what they are actually buying in a pleasant and readable way. If a customer is hesitant about buying a product, you can convince them with a good description, whereas an inadequate description will probably put them off. If you have reviews or videos on your blog where the product is "tested" directly by users, be sure to link to them. Colours and fonts - nothing should be overdone

While it may be good to be original when creating text, this is not the case when choosing colours and fonts. If you don't have the eye for it, you'd better get advice from an expert. Everything goes hand in hand. We certainly do not recommend combining too many fonts and changing their sizes excessively.

Learn to sell yourself first

Unless you are selling a product that is truly unique, you probably know what your competition is like. If you want to win and get customers to buy from you, you need to offer something extra. Highlight the advantages of your e-store. Don't be afraid to praise and tell why the customer should buy from you. Do you excel in customer service? Super fast delivery? 24/7 support? Tell them about it!
