We educate ourselves in coaching
We continue to train our employees within the project "Corporate Training at Railsformers - OPZ 97", where the European Union is helping to finance this project under the Operational Programme Employment. The main objective of the project is to increase the level of knowledge and skills of employees and to ensure that their qualifications and competences are in line with the requirements of the job.
This week we have successfully completed another series of trainings in the areas of soft and managerial skills, under the title Coaching Approach in Communication and Team Coaching. The goal of coaching is to assist another person in improving their performance. This is because coaching is not only about a technique for growing to success, but also about understanding and working together as a group.
The first training course was first in the spirit of getting to know the coach, who asked us thought-provoking questions. This was done in a pleasant way with the help of picture cards.
We also learned about the principles of the coaching approach and tried to create an energy boiler for our team.
The first session was dedicated to identifying closed questions from open questions. Training in asking open-ended questions and setting goals using the SMART method then continued in the second training course. Next, we again worked with cards from which we selected what is important to us in our personal and professional lives. From the selected cards we then sorted out the values that describe our company.
Our coaching training concluded with a "fairy tale" based on the Disney Creative Strategy method. Thus, we tried out three roles from Walt Disney's dream factory on a specific company project: the role of the dreamer, the realist and the critic. The essence of this method is the ability to find the right balance between the roles.
We have one last training session coming up in June, which we are looking forward to, as it will teach us basic relaxation techniques and how to prevent burnout syndrome.
