Locking the general exclusion of advertising from mobile apps

Back in September, Google's much-discussed news was the removal of the general exclusion of advertising from mobile apps. This made it significantly more difficult to eliminate spending on unnecessary clicks by users playing a game or using a mobile app in transit. What does this mean in practice? Simply put, by making it impossible to remove these apps from the content network, you've lost a way not to waste budget on irrelevant audiences.

What to do if you don't want to remove advertising in all apps, but only in some? At the moment, it's not possible to exclude specific mobile apps, but via the campaign settings in the content network / location / excluded you can at least exclude them by category. Even so, the result is not 100% and you will have to manually remove some apps that are not affected by the exclusion from within the administration.

Google and the new interface

PPC specialists are divided in opinion into two groups: those who are fans of the new mid-2017 interface, and those who don't like the changes. Of course, this is purely subjective and everyone may like something different, but since October the new interface has been mandatory for everyone, which was not the case before and only applied to newly created accounts.

Description lines and captions extension

Another change that has happened to paid advertising on Google is the expansion of description lines and captions. The advantage is that more text takes up more space, so these text blocks are very clearly visible. However, PPC specialists are forced to create special ads for Google and separately for List, which is a burden especially in terms of time. And time is one of the most expensive commodities.
