May at Railsformers in the sign of internships
As part of our social responsibility and cooperation with MSPAKT, we welcomed four students from two Ostrava high schools for internships during May. The goal of the Moravian-Silesian Employment Pact is to have students who are well-educated in the field with knowledge of real work habits. The four students were then supplemented by two more interns from OA Ostrava-Poruba, which approached us on the basis of last year's cooperation.
Let's introduce each school and explain how the students have helped us and how we have enriched them.
Business Academy and Vocational School, Ostrava-Mariánské Hory, contributory organization

- Registration of the Firefighters Žulová website to CZ catalogues.
In return, we covered the topics that students requested:
Developing your own business plan (students were given training on what a business plan should include, how to do it, and feedback during the process).

- Comprehensive marketing - what it all involves, what is comprehensive marketing.
- How the whole process of promotion works and takes place.
- The most effective methods of marketing.

Střední škola prof. Zdeněk Matějček,Ostrava-Poruba, příspěvková organizace
Two students from Information Technology came to us for ten days for 7 hours a day. Here, these were students with specific needs, so we chose a different form of internship where students defined their own projects.
On their own initiative, the students created a website to practically apply and improve their experience from a front-end perspective. One student edited the website of his father's company and the other created an imaginary school website. The output was a static site that they consulted with tribal front-end development staff and gradually optimized. Throughout the internship, they received progressive feedback to bring their work to a successful conclusion.

In return, the students were educated in the Mobile Applications division, where they covered the following topics:
- A general description of mobile applications.
- Description of native iOS/Android development.
- Comparison of native and cross platform development (Flutter, React Native).
- Explanation of the principle of publishing apps on Google Play/App Store Connect.

An internal on-premise Chat GPT interface solution in GPT-4 was made available to all students, while students were presented with both the basic rules and tips for using the system.
We see our cooperation with schools as mutually beneficial. Internships are an ideal way for students to learn about the working environment, gain practical experience and make the necessary contacts in the field they want to pursue in the future. In turn, we get a unique opportunity to educate and train our potential future employees in return for our time with the students.
We thank all these students for their help and we are looking forward to further cooperation - in September students from the Poruba Business Academy will repeat their internship with us for 2 weeks.
