Facebook is ending likes. Testing is already underway!
Social networks have been going through a number of changes recently, and we've already mentioned some of them in one of our recent articles. In addition, new reports from TechCrunch talk about the fact that we should say goodbye to the iconic thumbs up after x number of years!
Thumbs up or Likes have been on Facebook since time immemorial. Thanks to it, you could express your liking towards a page and start following it at the same time. Over time, however, this button has expanded to include another one called Follow. This basically offered the same thing, but it didn't add you as a fan.
An effort to unify social networksThe decision to remove the Like button from the site stems from a tendency to unify social networks like Twitter and Instagram - after all, they operate on the principle of one button (Follow) completely seamlessly. Another reason is the desire to make the real number of followers clearer and to put pinned pages at the forefront, along with posts that can currently only be accessed via scrolling.
Easier switching between accounts
Eventually, the change should include a better way to switch between private and corporate profiles, which could also result in easier access to reports, etc. For comprehensive Facebook management, however, a pro solution through Business Manager or Creator Studio is much more appropriate.
Business Manager
Business Manager is a professional tool for managing business accounts. It allows you to have all your pages, advertising accounts and product catalogs in one place, leading to clear work. Another positive is the fact that advertising accounts are not kept under a personal profile, but belong to BM (Business Manager), in which you specify individual permissions. Besides the administrative advantages, BM offers mainly dynamic remarketing - you can create product catalogues and promote the complete range of products from the e-shop.
Creator studio
Creator Studio is a free tool for managing company profiles. With it, you can create and manage content, bulk upload videos, interact with fans, and track the success of individual posts and pages all in one place. Creator Studio also has a great Rights Manager feature that can search for similar (or identical) videos you've posted to see if anyone is accidentally copying your content.
