Even a giant like Facebook must respect GDPR
Since May, most of us have been trying to check all the rules, to explore possible loopholes, in short, to do everything we can to keep our business in order, to comply with what should be complied with, and to save ourselves the inconvenience and expense of possible fines. But is this the case with large companies?
Although the GDPR was created primarily to protect consumers' sensitive data, some large companies refuse to comply with the European Union's regulation. Specifically, this includes Twitter and Facebook.
For Mark Zuckerberg, the father of Facebook, this recently meant having to go to the European Parliament to hear comments about how the social network's terms and conditions need to be adjusted to comply with the GDPR. According to Czech EU Commissioner Věra Jourová, Facebook and other companies have been given an ultimatum until the end of the year. After that, any further misconduct will cost them a lot of money.
You may not have a company the size of Facebook - but that doesn't matter at all. GDPR doesn't pick and choose. If you want to avoid unnecessary complications and penalties, consult industry experts. We'll be happy to advise you and take care of your data protection.
