E-shops are thriving - turnover and mobile sales are growing
This year ACOMWARE conducted a research focused on the balance of trade of domestic e-shops for the sixth time. Its results are very positive - e-commerce is increasingly thriving.
E-shop operators are the most optimistic in history. Electronic stores have had another record year and this year is expected to be even better. According to a survey by consulting company ACOMWARE.
This is the sixth year the company has conducted a survey focused on the situation among e-shops. 122 Czech e-shops took part in this year's survey."The mood on the e-commerce market is still very optimistic. At a time of continued growth, most e-shops are increasing sales and are able to respond well to current trends such as the shift of shoppers to mobile," explains ACOMWARE CEO Jan Penkala.
The survey results showed, among other things, that eighty percent of e-shops managed to increase sales last year. Nine out of ten then expect this year to continue this trend.
The proportion of mobile purchases increased significantly last year, with 5% of the e-shops surveyed admitting that mobile purchases accounted for over 50% of their turnover.
The most important discount event on e-shops remains Christmas, closely followed by the shops' own promotions. Only in third place was Black Friday. 11% of e-shops avoid discount promotions.
On the other hand, e-shops mostly see weak points in the quality of logistics, marketing and staff. Specifically, lack of qualified staff is a problem for 28% of e-shops.
The e-shops invested the most money last year in PPC advertising, e-mailing and product comparison sites. This year, they expect to invest more in content marketing and SEO.
According to the ACOMWARE study's findings, the most important goals for e-tailers in 2018 include increasing sales followed by improving brand awareness and improving marketing. These are activities that we also focus on, so if these goals are also among your metrics, do not hesitate to contact us, we will help you achieve them.
