Do you want a clear guide to Facebook image sizes?
Social networks are the perfect and increasingly popular way to promote your business and products. I'm sure you've already encountered the frustration of trying to figure out the right image size. DToday we're going to focus on Facebook. Although Facebook can often handle itself and adjust images to the required size, it's definitely better to go with it. You won't have the mishap of an inappropriately cropped image, poor quality, etc. So what are the suitable formats?
Facebook page cover photo (company profile): 820 × 312 px
I'm sure you know that the human brain is a brilliant processor of visual sensations. The moment a visitor opens your Facebook profile and sees your intro photo, they'll know within seconds whether they like what they see or not. Go to the trouble of using this cover image as a real photo that proudly showcases you, your business, and what you do. Often you only have one shot at making an impression. Grab the opportunity by the scruff of the neck!
Facebook page profile photo: 180 × 180 px
The profile picture is the square photo you'll find on the top left next to the intro photo. For business accounts, it is definitely a good idea to have, for example, the company logo as the profile photo, because this image will represent you and your profile wherever you comment or post on Facebook. Be sure to keep in mind when choosing a profile photo that in comments, etc., the image will be really miniature (32 x 32 px) and cropped to a circle to boot.
Event Photo: 500 × 262 px
If you want to create an event on your profile, please allow for an image size of 500 x 262 px. As with the intro photo, keep in mind that the image complementing the event is the first thing a visitor will see. Only then will they start reading the text.
Photo next to the post: 1200 x 628 px
A good format to use for images to accompany your posts is 1200 x 628 px, as you can then use this format for things like Twitter. For checking how a link appears on Facebook, our recommendation from earlier still applies - a great tool called Debugger that will show you how it appears on FB after you copy the shared link
