Images used in the posts channel

  • It is ideal to use an image in JPG or PNG format. If you would like to upload a GIF, then you must upload this type of image as a video ad.
  • The aspect ratio of images should be 9:16 to 16:9.
  • It is recommended that you upload the image at the highest possible resolution as there is no limiting threshold.
  • Remember to be sparing with text. Images that are more than 20% text may cause the ad to deliver less.
  • The appropriate length for text is 125 characters. If you can't keep the text to this length, that's fine, but it may not display in its entirety.

If you use an image with a link, then the rules are as follows:

  • The aspect ratio of the image should be 1.91:1 to 1:1.
  • The minimum recommended resolution is at least 1080x1080 px.
  • Try to keep the title to 25 characters and the link description to 30 characters. You can make the text longer, but there is a risk that it won't be displayed in full.

Pictures in the right column

Advertisements appearing in the right column on Facebook are designed for computers only. Most often Facebook displays them on the right, but they may appear elsewhere on the page.

  • As with images in the posts feed, it is advisable to use an image in JPG or PNG format.
  • The aspect ratio of images should be 9:16 to 16:9.
  • Again, try to choose the image at the highest resolution possible.
  • And even here, you can only use images that have no more than 20% text. More text will cause a rapid decrease in ad delivery.
  • Text: 125 characters.

Right column images with link

  • Text length is recommended at 125 characters.
  • The title should be 40 characters and the link description should be 20 characters.
  • Images consisting of more than 20% text may be delivered with less.
