Attention! Microsoft ends support for Windows 7
It's all over the place. It's all over the news. Some people are scared, some people have it figured out. Where do you stand? Will the end of Windows 7 support affect you?
Something ends, something else begins
Microsoft has decided to discontinue support for the Windows 7 operating system and is currently working with its partners to bring this news to as wide a range of users as possible. D-Day is scheduled to occur in one year, on January 14, 2020
.The end of support for users mainly means that there will be no new features added nor any fixes for security vulnerabilities. Just to give you an idea, there were 229 security holes found in 2017, and 161 in 2018.
But where one thing ends, something else also begins. That's what Microsoft believes, and it's taking this opportunity to promote the upgrade to Windows 10, which is currently the most up-to-date version that will also provide users with security, which is understandably a big focus these days.
Cheaper. Safer. Faster.
Despite the fact that support for Windows 7 is ending, Microsoft's marketing department says that if your computer and software is more than four years old, this is the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a new Windows 10 device.
This is also because modern systems are cheaper and faster. But if you are one of our customers, you don't have to worry at all because all our clients' computers have already been migrated to Windows 10 :-).
