A properly written meta description is a hit! How to do it?

What is a meta description?

A meta description, sometimes also called a meta description, is a tag that appears on each of the pages of your website. Simply put, this tag is used to give search engines (Google, Seznam, etc.) as well as ordinary users more information about the content on your page. Since this short text appears in search results, it is clearly a very important element for the performance of your site.

How do I create a proper meta description?

Length matters.
Be sure to stick to a set length, which is roughly 155 characters. The minimum length of your meta description should be at least 70 characters. Google, Bing or Yahoo usually tolerate a meta description that is longer. In the end, though, no one can guarantee that these specified lengths will be displayed in a search engine anyway. The decision is purely at the discretion of the search engine.

Text quality comes first.
Another important point when creating a caption is the quality of the text in question. The description should be readable, understandable, but at the same time have an informational benefit. When you create a meta description, think first of all that it should be written for the user. A good description will ultimately decide whether or not a visitor clicks on your link.

Relevant keywords.
If you flub your meta description, you may find that the search engine replaces your text with its own. To avoid this, you need to create a really good and relevant description. A keyword analysis will help you with this. You can make an inventory of them and try to use these keywords in the search engine. This way you can easily find out if your meta description is used by search engines or not.

Don't forget about uniqueness.

Every indexable page should have a unique description. If a description is repeated on your site, search engines and users might think it is duplicate content, in which case the search engine might exclude your site from searches. And you certainly don't want that.
