We watched the Green Light Startup Show 2018

Last week, the fifth edition of the Green Light Startup Show accelerator took place, organized by the Centre for Innovation Support at VŠB-TUO. Startups present their projects here to get exposure and try to win one of the main prizes. This brings together entrepreneurs, investors, students and anyone interested in innovation and entrepreneurship under one roof. Of course, Railsformers representatives could not be absent.

There were a total of eight companies (Joystree, Eddie, Domiro, Bellecup, Waps invoice, Quine engine, Dustee, El stylo) who presented their ideas and listened to feedback from the expert jury. In the auditorium of the VŠB Auditorium, where the event was held, interesting improvement proposals from the sectors of travel, sports, medicine, environment, accounting and visualization were presented. The whole event was filled with a friendly and light atmosphere, full of ideas and people radiating positive energy.

After a small break and the counting of the audience votes, it was time for the winners to be announced. The following companies were awarded:

Dustee– efforts to improve the air
Quine Engine – developing a platform for processing, visualizing and simulating ideas in 3D
Bellecup– development of a medical device for harvesting and processing adipose tissue
Waps invoice – automated invoice processing

What did they actually get?
Jury prize (provided by MSK) – 250 000 CZK – Dustee
Jury prize (provided by MSK) – 150 000 CZK – Quine Engine
Jury prize (provided by MSK) – 100 000 CZK – Bellecup
