Since 2009 we have been running the web portal sRecepty, which covers everything to do with cooking, recipes and seasoning. The aim is for users to share recipes with each other through the site. Writing recipes out by hand is a thing of the past — and once a cook has written one down and filed it away somewhere, they often can’t find it again when they want to use it. The site is there to put an end to situations like that. Uploading a recipe is very simple. Anyone who wants to add a recipe to the site needs to be registered (via a Google account, a Facebook account, or simply by filling in the registration form). To upload a recipe successfully you then only need to enter its name, the ingredients and the method, and upload a photo. Users who want to can also add a video recipe.
Once you’ve uploaded your own recipe, other users can ask questions about it, rate it, print it or add it to their own recipe books, as well as write articles and share cooking advice and tips. Beyond that, the site offers a range of features and integrates with social networks, which makes it easier still to share its content. Because we’re well aware that people cook not only here in the Czech Republic but abroad too, we’ve built the site in a number of language versions.
Do you enjoy cooking? Are you interested in healthy eating and food in general? Then you’re in the right place. The sRecepty portal is where people can meet other users with similar interests in recipes and cooking. All the content is created by them. Once you’ve registered, all you need to do is add recipes under your own name, comment and write articles. You can also recommend a restaurant you’re happy with.
If you’re not sure how the site works, the explanatory videos will help. You’ll also find weekly meal plans, so you’ll never again spend long wondering what to cook for lunch or what to have for dinner. Recipes can be searched by several criteria: by occasion, by season, by course, by cuisine and more.
Active users are always rewarded for what they contribute to the site with what we call Zlaťáky. What are Zlaťáky? They’re a form of reward you can earn simply by using the sRecepty portal. It’s a prize competition open to every registered user. The idea is to motivate users to help us grow the portal’s content. Just by adding a new recipe, for example, a user earns Zlaťáky, enriches the recipe database and raises their own profile. And that pays off.
Once you reach a certain number of Zlaťáky, you’re entitled to the gifts listed on the sRecepty portal.
