Online lockout booking system for DPOs launched

Online lockout booking system for DPOs launched

We have developed a smart and efficient online reservation system for the Ostrava Transport Company.

DPO has decided to accommodate passengers and set a maximum number of closure days within the Ostrava transport network. However, in order to make it easier and more efficient for the investors requesting the closures, they have used our services and together we have built a sophisticated system to enable a clear and simple request for a closure.

The lockout booking application is primarily intended for all interested entities (investors, construction contractors) who need to restrict or stop rail transport within their construction projects. At the same time, this application serves to make the public more aware of ongoing and planned lockouts or restrictions in public transport.

The app is transparently available to all investors and allows them to interact with each other
coordinate construction activities so that they do not unnecessarily restrict the city
public transport.

DPO has divided the transport network into several categories according to their importance and assigned different numbers of days that can be reserved for the closure. For example, the tramway backbone network may have a maximum of 99 closures per year, the trolley bus network 149 per year, etc.

In the application you will get an overview of a specific section of the tram or trolleybus network on a map base:

  • what category it belongs to (backbone, secondary, other)
  • what closures are already planned and approved on the section
  • how many closure days are still available

After registration, you can book a closure on the desired section(s).

Any closure must be requested at least 45 days in advance.

And it’s that simple:
