Ministries are already issuing methodological aids on GDPR implementation

Individual ministries in the Czech Republic have started to help institutions with the application of the new GDPR directives. On the websites of some of them you can already find so-called methodological aids, which show how to implement the rules in practice by examples.

With the new European Union Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into force in four months, preparations are well underway. To facilitate implementation, some ministries are already publishing guidance documents.

“The methodological aid aims to familiarize persons who carry out activities in the field of personal data processing in the context of education with the forthcoming regulation on personal data protection introduced by this European Regulation,” the Ministry of Education, for example, states, adding that the aim of issuing this aid is not to carefully analyse specific situations, but rather to provide general guidance in the application of the individual rules.

The Ministry of Education is offering the GDPR Implementation Guidance Toolkit on its website for free download – you can download it here.

The Ministry of the Interior has also published a similar aid, entitled Protection of personal data in the performance of the filing service, especially in information systems managing documents at public authorities. It can be downloaded from this link.
