How to set up a business profile on Instagram and connect it to Facebook

If you plan to use Instagram for your business and to attract new customers, it’s definitely worth setting up a business profile. First, you’ll have analytical reports on fans and posts, but you can also promote directly from the app or share posts on other networks.

How to do it? Two ways to set up a business Instagram profile.

You don’t need to use a computer to activate your company profile, just your mobile phone. Right in the Instagram app, you’ll find a settings icon in the top right corner (right next to the Edit Profile option), which is usually displayed as a toothed wheel or three dots.

Clicking on the icon brings up an extensive menu with a list of options, including Switch to Corporate Profile. Once you’ve clicked through the list of benefits Instagram introduces you to, you’ll be prompted to link your Instagram account to your Facebook business page. If the authorization goes well, you’ll see a listing of the pages you manage. Remember that you can only link one Instagram profile to one Facebook page – so consider your choice carefully!

Once you’ve linked both pages, an automatic import will take place where Instagram will download the necessary data directly from your Facebook page. You can then edit the imported data and once you’re happy with it, simply click Done. Your corporate Instagram is ready!

We’ve already encountered a situation where the Switch to company profile item doesn’t appear in the settings menu on Instagram. Don’t despair, it’s okay. There is a second way, set up your business page on Instagram classically as a personal profile. Switch to the Facebook interface and select Settings in the top right, Instagram in the vertical bar on the left and link the accounts here, Facebook will automatically offer you to convert your Instagram to a business account in one of the linking steps.
