We are part of the MSK subsidy project to support entrepreneurship for 2020
Programme name: Support for entrepreneurship in the Moravian-Silesian Region 2020
Project name: Multifunctional check-in kiosk
Date of implementation: 20 April 2020 - 30 June 2021
We are very pleased to be part of such an important MSK programme and to have the opportunity to implement our brand new project. Within the framework of the TechArt voucher, we will embark on the development of a multifunctional hardware device - a communication kiosk for a retrieval system. The previous cooperation with MSK to support internships of pupils and students in companies was very beneficial and we are already looking forward to this new cooperation.
About the MSK grant programme and project
The objective of the TechArt grant is to support the process of maximizing the creation and sale of usable product design with adequate aesthetic value, by utilizing the services of entities in the creative industry. The beneficiary of the grant must implement the project in the Moravian-Silesian Region or outside the Moravian-Silesian Region, provided that the outputs of the implemented project must be used in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
The project under this title will be implemented in both its phases, namely:
- Creation of applied design and functional 3D design model in design software
- Design work and manufacturing technology for the prototype product
This project will merge the three basic pillars of the intended system - the software of the retrieval system, its hardware and the software of the reservation system. This will result in a comprehensive platform that will significantly outperform the existing outdated competition and will thus offer solutions for government bodies, offices, hospitals, pharmacies or companies dealing directly with customers, where more people need to be served, such as post offices, mail order houses, dispensaries or client centers.
So what will the new communication kiosk look like?
The kiosk, called EvoCat, will be a multi-purpose device used to interact with visitors. It may not replace a smiling receptionist, but its design and features are guaranteed to impress. The device will be made of artificial stone, dominated by a 22′′ LCD touchscreen and the heart of the kiosk will be a microcomputer built on an ARM platform. It will include a contactless card issuer and card reader as standard. However, the kiosk can be further expanded with a label printer and interfaced with other peripherals.
We would like to thank MSK for co-financing this great project and we look forward to seeing this modern kiosk somewhere.
