The colour of 2022 is Very Peri!

According to the colour symbolism, this dynamic shade combines the constancy of blue and the excitement of red. It is the warmest and happiest of all blues. It is a response to the pandemic and is meant to guide us through a world in which many new things await us.

Colours have a great effect on the psyche. Both blue and purple are cool colours and improve the ability to concentrate and encourage relaxation. Blue is the color of peace and harmony, while purple is a symbol of meditation and spirituality. And thanks to the contribution of red, it can strengthen passion and zest for life.

Blue-purple is ideal for the office or study corner due to its properties. It will also do its job in the bathroom, where it will help you relax and unwind. Due to its calming effects, it is also suitable for the bedroom, where it should make it easier to fall asleep. 

Because cool shades feel cooler, they are only suitable for south- or west-facing rooms. As it is a relatively dark colour, choose it for only one wall, a larger piece of furniture or smaller details. It will look best in combination with white, cream, champagne or gold.

Very Peri in fashion

Every year, an avalanche erupts around the colour of the year announced by the New York Institute. Although the institute, which responds to the mood of society, doesn't always hit the fashion mark, it has now done so. Shades close to Vera Peri were seen on the streets of Paris and Copenhagen during the autumn fashion weeks. Lighter purple, then, is one of the colours that defines the current season.

Unlike Ultra Violet, the colour of 2018, Very Peri is less aggressive, conveys a much friendlier emotion and is the warmest of all the fashion shades due to its red base.

Remember that last year, the Pantone Institute named two shades as the colour of the year - deep yellow and grey. In 2021, these were meant to symbolise the union of light and shadow and, figuratively, mutual consideration.
