Phone operating systems are getting smarter, Android P proves it
This week's Google IO 2018 conference saw, among other things, the beta launch of the new Android P operating system. Let's take a peek under the hands of Android developers to see what they have in store for us.
Intelligence
Aiming to make maximum use of machine learning (or machine learning) on android devices. The phone is able to analyze what you do on it, when and at what times and adjust processes, battery management, etc. accordingly.
Adaptive Battery - the device's artificial intelligence learns from you. How you use your phone, when you use it and what apps you use. Based on these steps, it creates its own pattern that flexibly responds to your behaviour, significantly reducing battery consumption.
Adaptive Brightness - Advanced automatic brightness function.
App Actions - artificial intelligence learns how you control your mobile phone and its apps. It then offers you a possible action it thinks you want to take.
Simplicity
New phone navigation system for better and more user-friendly as well as intuitive operation, typical of bezel-less phones. We can look to the iPhone X for inspiration.
New way to control volume - this has been moved to the right side of the screen
Confirm phone screen rotation - if you rotate your phone and the app allows landscape view, you can confirm screen rotation by clicking the icon at the bottom of the screen.
New notifications and a redesigned notification bar - brings support for display cutouts familiar from iPhone X. Supporting display cutouts required a slight redesign of the elements in the notification bar. The clock, for example, is placed on the left.
Other new features include work profiles and quick settings.
Digital wellbeing - a balance between real and digital life
Dashboard - an overview of what apps we use most often and how much time we spend in them. We also get an overview of how many notifications have come in.
App timer - information about the time spent in each app.
Improved Do Not Disturb system - In the new Android P, just turn the phone screen down and it will
Do Not Disturb mode is triggered. All calls, alarms and other visual notifications will be "silenced".
Wind down- a special feature to teach us users to go to sleep regularly. It consists of gradually displaying only black and white colours at a set time on Android P.
Most of these innovations can be used in mobile app development. If you are thinking about making it more convenient for your customers to buy or use your service through an app, contact us and our mobile developers will fulfill your wishes and answer your questions,
