On October 19–20, 2016, Intel held the Intel IoT Commercial Workshops. The event took place this year in Warsaw at the Plaza Hotel, and Railsformers couldn’t miss it. IoT technologies are one of our company’s priorities.
The meaning of IoT
IoT stands for Internet of Things. Simply put, it refers to connecting embedded devices to the internet. Railsformers has established close cooperation with Intel, and the IoT workshop in Warsaw was definitely valuable for our company!
Who do we work with in the field of IoT?
Our goal is to offer customers a complete IoT solution, which we understand as a unique combination of hardware and software know-how. At the same time, we don’t want to be dependent on a specific IoT protocol.
That’s why, on one hand, we work with leading hardware suppliers such as Intel or AAEON. On the other hand, we’re in close contact with the IQRF Alliance and with Czech Radiocommunications, who are behind the LoRa protocol, and we take part in the Summer Jam competition. Keeping up with current trends in the IoT field is an essential and, for us, logical part of this.
Our unique team of experts from Ostrava is also working closely on IoT development with VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava.
As part of our IoT efforts, we follow O2’s activities and events, and we’re working on developing and testing solutions for a cloud platform to manage sensors and gateways.
Bringing IoT into our products
Railsformers is starting to offer services and products where IoT is an integral part. As part of one of our key products, Hedurio, we’re preparing to monitor premises and people using IoT-enabled technologies. We’re also developing a system for monitoring and alerting about vehicles on highways, as well as a smart-parking system.
We offer our services to anyone interested in IoT, and we’re open to discussing this topic with anyone.
