Google has now come up with a new feature which is the extension of these short descriptions. We can now commonly see descriptions of around 320 characters. According to the experts, Google generally does not change the length of meta description. The length of the description depends only on algorithm and Google’s rules whether it will show longer description for your website.
Seznam.cz is reportedly going to follow a similar direction, which is good news, so we won’t have to solve the dilemma of how long a description should be and can safely use a longer one and hope that Google and Seznam will adopt it.
